Self Portrait with Banner Camera. 1989ish.

I have been a photographer since the 1980’s, My eye has been generally drawn to the mundane, and attempting to give the subject a stronger visual impact on the viewer. I have used various types of films and cameras, trying to pair combinations of these with my perception of how I want at the subject to finally appear. I used Kodak black-and-white infrared frequently in the 1980’s and 90’s, even loading it into one-time-use 35mm cameras. My attendance in workshops at Maine Photography Workshops in the late 1980’s brought toy cameras into my repertoire, as I purchased 2 Banner cameras and used them often.

I presently use a 1937 Zeiss Ikoflex TLR, a Leica iiic and M3, a Lomo LC-A, an Ondu pinhole, a few Holgas and Dianas, a couple of Polaroids, a Franka Rolfix 6×9, a Lumix LX-5, an Olympus OM digital system, and my iPhone.
